100 Day Project
First started by designer Michael Bierut, the #100DayProject is creative project that was assigned to me during my graduate program at SVA. Just as it sounds, this project challenges the participant to commit to and execute a creative task every day for 100 days, while documenting the process on social media (@100daysofmagic on Instagram). This project can be used to showcase a specific talent, learn a new skill, and/or inspire creative thinking.
For my project I wanted to focus on a specific type of design known as typography– a technique that I am very passionate about. More specifically, I decided to perform 100 different typographic illustrations of the same word– including both hand-drawn lettering and digital manipulations. My main objective in creating these illustrations was to exemplify, challenge, and improve my design skills. More specifically, I aimed to further my abilities in illustration, typography, calligraphy, and digital design. As a result, this project created the space for me to explore my fascination with typography and expand my creative and technical skillset.
